Spirituality is not an opinion about God, but a walk with God. It is a journey with Jesus Christ rather than a journey to Christ. Spirituality is a conscious personal response to the love and grace of God, a daily and life-long relationship, and a healthy balanced journey in the Word of God. It is exercised through the faith, feelings and actions of each individual. A spiritual lifestyle includes worshipping God the Father, being rooted in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. This does not mean that you have to separate yourself from the world, but that your life is authentic, meaningful and useful to the world you are living in. It does not mean that you are free of sickness, despair, grief and problems, but that you can still enjoy grace and peace through all of this. In this life it does not promise the absence of disease, disorder and distress, but does offer healing, hope and heaven. Dr Frank Gerald Steyn
Colossians 2:6-10 “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
